Awesome

Parky - Out of Touch in 320 http://www.mediafire.com/?kaohkhgnycm

Unfortunately I think I may not have the other three in 320. They were on my external hard drive which is fucked :?

Will ask the lads though.

I have the four live tracks we did at Maida Vale by the way if anyone wants them? (it was Cold Morning, Left Alone, She's Not you and Static)....I actually prefer the live versions of Left Alone and She's Not You!

On the subject of my band. Really like our new songs. Can't wait to play them! Nice variety of styles once again, and we've wrote a slow one! Which is unlike us.

I have to say I much prefer Cold Morning to She's Not You, I think it's probably my least favorite song of yours. Out Of Touch sounds good too, if you made an album would you do a Foals and leave all the old singles off or have most of the album as old songs.

No idea. Not released anything yet, so its hard to say. That's a long way away as well!

I much prefer Cold Morning to She's Not You too btw, but I can see why others would see it the other way round.

Just confirmed an XFM John Kennedy session :headbang2:

I know but that was more a question about how much you would want to do it hypothetically, I realize a band's decision is different from one individual but I'm curious what, if any, songs would make it onto the hypothetical Lost Knives debut album if it were up to you at this moment.

I genuinely don't know. All I know is that there are certain songs that I'd definitely want on an album and we'll see with the others. I don't care whether Cold Morning had been released 43434343549 times, as I'd still want it on an album, for example.

I personally don't prescribe with the foals method. It's admirable, but I just want to put the 10/11/12 best songs on that I feel would best represent us properly as who we are.

You may feel completely different when it comes to releasing an album in two years time though. You might want to get the new material out there rather than put older songs on.

Of course. I couldn't possibly say, and that's if it takes two years for us to release an album!

We have enough songs now for an album that I'd be proud to put out there, and even if we theoretically signed a deal to record an album with someone tomorrow the album still wouldn't be out for at least six months or so, so we'd probably even then have loads of new songs wrote in that period which would change the tracklisting. It's all circumstantial.

I really do feel strongly about putting the strongest songs together, whether they're new or old though.

But we'll see...I hope!

Well done tonight, Steven. Quite a few things went wrong (guitar tunings, xylophone sticks, etc) but it was still good. The mix wasn't too great though - the only things you could hear clearly were the bass and the drums (and your voice at times). The rest (including George's voice) all seemed like one big mush.

Oh, and the xylophone new song has possibly the gayest chorus ever. It's not bad, it just surprised me

Probably the most negative positive review I've ever read.

 The things that went wrong wasn't their fault (I don't think?), and they were more hilarious than anything, such as the band somehow losing a xylophone beater, and then proceeding to look around the entire room and upstairs for it before continuing it.

I remember when I went to see Scout Niblett, she left her plectrums in her van so used a 2p that some gave her from the audience. That was a weird gig, don't know why I event went to it really.

I'd guess it would - I've used coins plenty of times.

Back to my gig.....

Oh god........we had a nightmare in places. That was probably our worst performance in god knows how long (we hadn't played for nearly 3 months so that's probs why). Apologies! We've learnt a lot from it though. It was fun, but a bit socially awkward, mostly our fault. I think some people had good sound, others had naff sound. Depending where you were stood sadly. Next time is gonna be a million times better without a doubt. Being relatively new and inexperienced still we're still learning things and we had absolutely no idea how it'd go. Did it all ourselves. We thoroughly enjoyed it, and it was a good confidence booster seeing the good turn out. Odd venues are definitely a positive as far as I'm concerned. If you get it right, which we VERY VERY nearly did (i don't mind admitting it wasn't perfect), then it could be a hell of a lot better than a normal gig. The way I see it is that you have to make mistakes to learn from them. Fortunately we always learn from our mistakes and we'll be twice the band we were at this gig at the next one. Just how we work!

I think next time we'll make it more of a party :D

Thanks for coming down though. Sadly didn't get to chat much, cmj. I was majorly stressed all day. I would like to say you're one cool looking fella, Charles. You have this aura about you that says 'I will be a musician one day'.

Tats, Ellie - god bless you both. Amusing folk. Tats was pissed! ha

ps - even though it wasn't perfect, i loved it. it was our first ever 'headline' show, and it was the most nerve wracking thing i've ever done.

Sounds like an ace night, despite the problems. Next time make it on a weekend or something...I'd love to see you guys!

I was pretty near the front and got in pretty early. I doubt I would have recognised you or Ellie though.

Oh, and Steven - I got chatting to this one guy before the gig who had come to see you cos his dad saw you before Christmas and said you were awesome :headbang2:
